Portinscale Village is situated in the Northern Lake District. The village sits one mile West of Keswick – a short drive or an easy walk – and is easily accessed by the A66 (and M6 motorway) or the A591 through the central Lakes.
From the M6: Take junction 40 and head West on the A66 towards Keswick. After passing the third turning into Keswick you will see signs for a left turn into Portinscale. Turn left and into the village. Head past the Farmers Arms (local pub) and round the next left bend in the road – Dalegarth House is situated immediately on your left (turn left up a small road beside ‘Dorothy Well’ to the car park).
